About My Clients

Most of my clients are motivated for deep change and want support that respects and acknowledges their cultural and spiritual beliefs. I help clients address life's challenges including: depressive & anxious symptoms, grief & loss, trauma, relationship concerns, racial & social justice issues, and career issues. I work with BIPOC, first-generation college & immigrant students, and am an ally of the LGBTQ community.

My Background and Approach

I serve as a guide and help facilitate people's healing process taking into account bio-psycho-social factors including their intergenerational/ancestral history. My style is client-centered, interactive, transparent, empowering, and collaborative. I practice from an integrated framework including Interpersonal, Humanistic, Multicultural, and Mindfulness Practices. I naturally weave in mind-body approaches under Energy Psychology such as Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). Additional modalities that have influenced my approach include CranioSacral Therapy, Logosynthesis, Heart Assisted Therapy (HAT), Ask and Receive, The Reconnection and I obtained Reiki Master in the Usui System of Natural Healing tradition (Usui Shiki Ryoho).

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that we have the right to learn and re-member healing skills/tools to help manage life's hurts, pains and suffering. That we can only begin to heal by meeting ourselves where we're at and inviting our fears and doubts to come along in our healing journey. That we can truly discover more of our authentic Selves and that by doing so, this helps us to live the remainder of our lives feeling more confident in navigating any future life challenges and to experience life feeling more peace, joy and unconditional love with ourselves, others and the world. I grew up in S.CA to immigrant Mexican parents. Some of my family members were surprised when I first announced as a college student that I wanted to pursue psychology as a career. It was not culturally appropriate to talk about personal issues outside of the family. While stigma still exists, I feel passionate to be in this profession at this time when there is more opportunity to integrate indigenous and energy practices.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
