About My Clients
I have worked with adults and families facing life transitions, depression, domestic violence, anxiety, relationship issues, and acculturation challenges. I also help children and teens navigate peer pressure, self-esteem, and transitions. I love witnessing clients’ “aha moments” when they recognize their strengths and resilience. Everyone is an expert in their own life, and being part of your journey is a privilege.
My Background and Approach
As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, my approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for each individual’s journey. I believe in a strengths-based perspective, where growth and healing are possible for everyone. I use various therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and systemic family therapy, to meet each client's unique needs. Additionally, I enjoy working with children and teens, using age-appropriate interventions to address emotional and behavioral challenges. I aim to create a safe, supportive space where clients can break through barriers, improve communication, and build healthier relationships.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I believe in the strength and resilience of every individual. I see each person as the expert in their own life, and my role is to create a safe, empathetic space for exploration without judgment. I value the therapeutic relationship as a powerful tool for healing and growth, where self-awareness, self-compassion, and collaboration lead to transformation. I enjoy working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and I am passionate about combating the stigmas surrounding mental health.
