I see myself as an intuitive, creative, informed, and highly trained Clinical Psychologist that provides a safe & non-judgmental environment

Psychologist in West Hollywood, CA

About My Clients

Many of my clients are high-achieving, bi-coastal creatives and professionals. I work with talent in entertainment, music, art, philosophy, writing, medicine, tech, law, and psychology. I help clients address challenges in juggling their well-being with their expectations, roles at home/work, responsibilities, deadlines, relationships, creative flow, and past experiences. Part of succeeding in this balance is finding the right collaborator.

My Background and Approach

My expertise is in time-limited, evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and the Unified Protocol for emotional disturbances. CBT is designed to help individuals notice and shift their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in order to find relief from symptoms related to anxiety, depression, and other psychopathology. Third wave CBT (like dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and mindfulness-based interventions) focuses on behavioral processes like developing healthy ways to cope with stress, emotions, and complicated relationships. With these modalities, I treat individuals who are impacted by depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship distress, burnout, divorce, loss, uncertainty, stigma, and other life experiences, diagnoses, and stressors. We explore the sources, experiences, and motivations that impact how you relate with the world, and implement change in your life. I provide individualized tools to use in everyday decision-making that will help those changes last.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Therapy is fluid and ever changing.-- Creativity, openness, and curiosity in psychotherapy fosters a willingness in both psychologist and client to test ideas, explore themes, question, imagine, and reflect on thoughts and experiences with depth and authenticity. This openness to experience engenders a non judgmental, mindful, and present-focused relationship with who you are now, and where you would like to be in your life and relationships. We will explore your experiences and find new and more flexible ways of thinking and interacting. It is important to be able to imagine a new and more satisfying life with a greater sense of self and meaning. Creativity and focus in therapy enables clients to change their patterns of behavior and apply what they have learned in our sessions to successfully navigating whatever happens next...
