About My Clients
Congratulations on taking the first step towards improving your mental health and quality of life. You might be finding that life, as it has been lately, feels harder than it should be. Maybe you are not feeling good about yourself, you're struggling with anxiety or depression, or noticing relationship patterns that leave you feeling frustrated and unsatisfied. Whatever you're dealing with, I look forward to helping you empower yourself to pursue your goals and a life worth living!
My Background and Approach
With several years of experience as a therapist in community clinics around New York City, I have worked with clients of many different ages, cultural backgrounds, and mental health conditions. My primary clinical interests and experience include working with teenagers and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, ADHD, and relationship and attachment issues. In my clinical practice, I incorporate person-centered and psychodynamic techniques along with elements of cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies (CBT and DBT). My philosophy is that you are already the expert on yourself, and that therapy can help you clarify and deepen your understanding. Clients can expect to walk away from session, feeling heard and supported, with practical tools to help them manage challenges in their daily life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
A little about me: consistent with my belief that a well-rounded life is essential to mental health, I try to stay active with his various interests, such as cooking, baking, CrossFit, and gardening. It is taking care of my beloved dog Juniper, however, that arguably occupies most of my time.
