About My Clients
Morgan treats individuals who suffer from a variety of abuse such as physical, emotional, and sexual trauma. Morgan treats those who have suffered from Narcissistic abuse, and endured trauma in the work environment. She sees individuals who are looking to overcome their sexual issues and anxieties. Lastly, she treats couple’s who are wanting to strengthen their emotional and sexual intimacy.
My Background and Approach
Currently working with adult individuals, adolescents, and couples, Morgan draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioral and Psychodynamic approaches, while utilizing a number of other methods from Attachment Theory, Client Centered, EMDR, the Gottman Method, Mindfulness-based skills, REBT, and Sex Therapy interventions. Morgan ensures to prioritize having a multicultural lens when creating each individualized treatment plan. Morgan is currently a member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT), and is currently pursuing her certification to become a Sex Therapist. In addition, Morgan is EMDR trained to further expand her trauma-focused repertoire. Lastly, Morgan has intertwined her training in Intuitive Eating to assist clients struggling with anxiety and low self esteem.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Morgan believes having a multicultural lens is critical in understanding the many challenges the client faces in the day to day. Through exploring the clients’ familial background and cultural upbringing, Morgan is able to have a better comprehension of the external and internal battles the client faces. Morgan believes it is important to explore ways the political climate, the media, social expectations, and familial pressures influence the client’s healing journey. Through having this assessment, Morgan is able to facilitate the client’s advancement towards personal growth.
